Girl injured in road accident
An 11-year-old girl has been injured in a road traffic accident in Plymouth.
She was treated at the scene by an off-duty doctor before being taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
The accident happened at about 7.45am on Tuesday 16 September.
The pedestrian was hit by a Renault Espace on the A386 near the Belliver estate.
Police closed the northbound carriageway of the Tavistock Road and one lane of the southbound carriageway, causing delays in the area.
The girl was taken to the city’s Derriford Hospital, where members of her family later joined her. Her injuries are not life-threatening.
The accident occurred at about 0745 BST.
