Cyclist seriously hurt in an accident

A cyclist was badly injured yesterday after he was involved in a crash with a car at a junction in Wheatley, Doncaster. A passenger in the four-wheel drive car was also seriously hurt when the vehicle ran into a tree.

A black BMW X3 was travelling along Wheatley Hall Road and turning left into Milethorn Lane when it was in collision with a cyclist who had been travelling along Milethorn Lane towards the junction of Wheatley Hall Road. The BMW then collided with a tree.
